Wyoming Senator Drew Perkins is proud to have served the people of District 29, located in central Wyoming's Natrona County, since 2007. He was elected vice president of the Wyoming Senate prior to the 2015 legislative session.


Born in Boise, Idaho, Drew grew up in Casper, graduating from high school and then attending Brigham Young University, where he received a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1980. Drew received his master's degree in taxation from Southeastern University in 1983, followed by a juris doctorate from the University of Wyoming in Laramie in 1992.


His wife, Kristie, is a Wyoming native who also grew up in Casper. They raised their two children in Casper, and are now proud grandparents.


Prior to returning to Wyoming to attend law school, Drew worked as an accountant, rising to the level of chief financial officer at a high tech company in Virginia.


He has maintained a private law practice in Wyoming for more than 21 years, representing clients in their business and personal matters, saving tax dollars, helping to expand their businesses and provide security for their families.


With over 3o years of experience in management, law and the real life experiences in how businesses and families prosper, Drew has built a reputation for integrity, innovation and effectiveness.


In addition to his professional background, Drew has worked hard to contribute significantly to his community. Some of these accomplishments include:

  • Former volunteer coach for Casper Youth Soccer, Boy Scouts of America Scoutmaster and volunteer with the March of Dimes.
